作品展示のご案内です。
東京・国立市で開催される「Kunitachi Art Center 2022」に参加します。国立市周辺で生活、制作をする作家２４名と、アトリエ・ギャラリー・店舗など計14ヶ所が会場になります。今回は、家具デザイナー小泉誠さんのお店「こいずみ道具店」のウインドウをお借りして3点の作品を展示することになりました。下記のページより予定されている出展情報等のご案内をしております。近くにお越しの際はぜひご覧ください。

Despite their diversity, the exhibited projects share the same characteristics: attentiveness, refinement and unicity in an attempt to define a new identity of Japanese design beyond the tradition. The exhibition presents a selection of highly creative design objects and collectible design furniture pieces by the most well-known and progressive design studios from Japan.

本日から青山、代官山、六本木等で同時に開催される「DESIGNART」というデザイン、アート企画に参加致します。
今回は恵比寿にあるコンテンポラリーギャラリーのSOMEWHERE TOKYOから作品を出展することになりました。
ギャラリーの展示テーマは「椅子」になります。名作からコンテンポラリーまで、ジャンルを問わずに工業製品とは違った作家性の強い作品が並びます。
DESIGNART企画終了後も、ギャラリーでの展示会は11月15日（日）まで開催しております。

企画展へ出展のご案内です。
世界の水に関する問題をテーマとした企画へ参加をします。
”淡水資源の持続可能な管理の推進”を主な目的としたWorld water day（3月22日）に合わせ、今回は”排水”をテーマとしたアート作品が各国から集められます。
モチーフとして、イタリアの飲料水メーカーPRIMVSのミネラルウォーターのガラスボトルを利用し、水問題へのアプローチを行います。

I will participate in the project on the theme of the water problems around the world.
Artworks with the theme of “drainage” are gathered from each country according to World water day (22 March), which is mainly aimed at promoting sustainable management of freshwater resources.
We will use a bottle of mineral water from PRIMVS to approach the water problem.

ロンドンのデザイン関連の書籍に、いくつかの作品や制作プロセスなどを掲載して頂きました。
そこで答えたインタヴュの一部を掲載します。
Questions ＆ Answers
1. What’s the most important thing to know about you?
If possible, meeting me is the best way to know about me.
In addition, I think it’s wonderful to share activities together.
2. When you were five, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A carpenter.
3. And now?!
I say to people that I’m a designer.
However, it’s not important to me. Actually, I’m still wondering who I really am.
4. How did you first get into what you do now?
I got into what I do now through the continuing the work of creating things.
As a result, I could find my interest in the process.
5. What inspires your designs?
There are many possibilities, like consciousness;
I try to identify what comes from within my consciousness and what interests me is the existence of what connects the inner with the outer world.
They inspire my designs.
6. How do you overcome creative block?
Mainly, there are three ways.
First, by questioning and answering to myself.
Second, by having a one-to-one talk with others.
Third, by experimenting.
7. Talk me through your design and making process from initial idea to final product?
My designs are constantly changing with the repetition of thinking and creating of many notes.
In the end, I always come to feel like altogether abandoning the process of hanging on.
8. What’s your favourite part of the process?
My favorite part is experimenting and laying my ideas into shape.
The direction of the work depends on whether I can have the result with satisfaction.
9. What’s your favourite tool?
My favorite tool is the body.
We can move it freely so I think it is the most useful tool in the world.
I wish my body to last forever.
10. Describe a really good day and a really bad day for you?
The former is the day I can concentrate to such an extent that I can forget everything.
The latter, I don’t have a really bad day.
11. What are you most proud of?
I’m proud of being honest to my feeling.
12. What advice would you give to a new designer?
Sometimes I feel that it is impossible to demonstrate everything, when things are vague and moments could be vain.
However, I’d like you to satisfy yourself thoroughly to your interest.
13. Why was it important for you to take part in the London Design Festival?
There was a man whom I’d liked to work with.
14. What was the most challenging part of being involved – and the best part?
The former is conveying my idea.
The latter is that I could meet people who support me.
15. Did you get to see any of the rest of the festival? If so, what was the best thing you saw?
Sad to say, I couldn’t take a lot of time to look around.
16. What would your advice be for a designer thinking of doing their first show?
I advise you to create works which satisfy yourself.
17. And finally, what’s your favourite colour?!
It’s probably like light and shadow.
Like white in black or the opposite.
I think attractive colors appear where elements are connected each other.

約一年前に開催した、短時間で作陶から焼成までのプロセスを体験できる陶芸制作ワークショップをもとに、
今回は素材の調合と焼成による変化を、より感じられるような新たな実験の場を企画しました。
また、陶芸制作に留まらない様々な手法により、空間を構成するための作品展示も行います！
Presenting a new experimental space where changes can be felt. Changes that spring out from ingredient mixing
and different baking time.A path leading from last year’s pottery project that requires lesser time.
Followed by exhibits of creative spacing design that extends beyond the conventional pottery designing method.

短時間で陶芸の制作プロセスを体験出来るワークショップを開催致します！
通常の陶芸では、焼き上がった作品が手元に届くまでに長い時間がかかってしまうものです。
今回は、陶芸の制作プロセスの中にある面白さをより感じて頂き易くするため、作陶から焼成
までの一連の流れを、短時間で楽しんで頂けるよう企画致しました。
また、このワークショップに合わせて会場である国立教室のフロアを大きく再構成し、
より直感的な発想や様々な可能性を受け入れ、実現できるよう充実させる予定です。
